NDE Pitchline Transmissions design, engineer and manufacture many variations of gear type couplings all with highly competitive features. NDE Pitchline can supply standard, adapted or bespoke gear couplings dependant on the customer needs, on very competitive lead times.

Due to our uniquely flexible manufacturing and design facilities we can cater for urgent one-off production or scheduled large volumes of gear couplings and other power transmission components.

Flanged Sleeve Type Gear Couplings

Both double and single engagement gear coupling versions are available up to 500kNm Torque Capacity and 360mm bore diameter. ABS, BV and DNV marine approval is available for both the design and manufacture of the gear coupling.

This type of coupling is capable of delivering the highest torque levels out of our range and because of the extensive design and engineering offers very competitive performance in each size series.

This gear coupling is designed to be easy to maintain and install to increase its reliability within customer’s applications.

High Performance Flanged Sleeve Type Gear Coupling

Continuous Sleeve Type Gear Couplings

Double and single engagement gear coupling versions are available with bolt on seal covers coming as standard.

This gear coupling has a very compact design and is designed for maximum torque transmission in the smallest space margins, which is important for some applications.

The efficient design means that there is the minimum number of components, which gives greater simplicity to our customer’s applications, improving reliability and reducing maintenance downtime.

Brake Drum/Disc Type Gear Couplings

Using our standard range of High Power Gear Couplings we can adapt to an infinite number of sizes and types of brake drum and brake disks.

This type of gear coupling is suited to applications where efficiency and safety are important. Calliper type brakes slow the gear coupling effectively and holds the application in position for improved productivity.

Spacer Type Gear Couplings

Using our standard range of High Power Gear Couplings, we can offer a wide range of spacers with varying lengths and Diameters. Units can be balanced for high-speed applications.

These spacer gear couplings connect shafts with large distances between shaft ends, with all the high torque performance benefits of a standard gear coupling.

Disconnect Type Gear Couplings

We can offer a number of different styles of disconnect Gear Type Coupling which can be custom designed to suit the customers application.

The specially designed gear coupling enables our customers to quickly and easily disconnect the unit from their application minimising downtime. The coupling comes with all the usual advantages of a standard gear coupling with the technical support and service that comes with all NDE Pitchline products.

Axial Travel Type Gear Couplings

Our HP500 range of High Power Gear Couplings come with Axial Travel as standard. High axial travel tolerance has been designed into this range of gear couplings. High axial travel capability compensates for substantial machine movement and can increase the reliability of the coupling for the customer.

Axial Travel Flexible Gear Type Coupling

Cardan Shaft Type

Special Cardan shaft versions of our High Power range of Gear Couplings are available. This type of coupling can transmit power over a longer distance than standard gear couplings with added rigidity and all the advantages of standard gear couplings.

Stainless Steel Gear Couplings

Stainless steel versions of our High Power range can be supplied with all relevant documentation and chemical certificates. The stainless steel gear couplings can be used in hostile environments such as highly corrosive atmospheres where acid or seawater may be used. This gives the couplings the long term reliability and service life that all NDE Pitchline gear couplings are designed to achieve.

AGMA Gear Couplings

Full ranges of American Gear Manufacturers Association standard Gear Couplings are also available. This allows our gear couplings to be interchangeable with other manufacturers gear couplings when replacements are required.
